About me

Hi, I’m Anna.

I’m Anna Ferreira, a 17-year-old Brazilian living in Florida.

Moving from Brazil to the United States gave me opportunities I never imagined. It meant adapting to a new language, a new school, and a new culture, while holding onto the values and traditions that have always been part of who I am. Today, I’m grateful to call both countries part of my story.

What you’ll quickly learn about me is that I love working with children. I love their curiosity, their honesty, and the way they see the world. They ask questions most adults would never think to ask, tell stories with endless excitement, and remind me to slow down and appreciate the little things.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to mentor younger students in band, volunteer at children’s summer camps, connect with kids from different countries through Nueva Life Club, and spend time reading and leading activities at a local elementary school’s extended-day program. Each experience has taught me something new, but they all have one thing in common: they reminded me how meaningful it is to make someone feel seen, encouraged, and cared for.

Those experiences are a big part of why I’m pursuing pediatric nursing. I hope to one day care for children not only by meeting their medical needs, but also by helping them feel safe, heard, and understood during moments that can be overwhelming for them and their families.

Outside of school, you’ll usually find me volunteering, spending time with my church community, listening to music, or making memories with the people I love. I’m someone who enjoys learning, values meaningful relationships, and believes that even small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I hope that as you explore this website, you’ll get to know not only what I’ve done throughout high school, but also the experiences and people that have shaped the person I’m becoming.
