Milestones of Growth

My Journey

A journey shaped by courage, community, service, leadership, and a growing commitment to compassionate nursing care.

  1. A New Beginning

    Moved to the United States and began adapting to a new language, culture, and school system. This experience later shaped my interest in communication, patient comfort, and language barriers in healthcare.

  2. Finding My Place

    Joined marching band and found a community that taught me discipline, teamwork, and leadership. I also began the PLTW Biomedical pathway, where I discovered my interest in medicine and the human body.

  3. Giving Back

    Volunteered at my former middle school, helping younger students learn the flute and supporting them as they developed their musical skills.

  4. Representing My Program

    Earned a position on the band recruitment team, where I had the opportunity to present the program to younger students and introduce them to the band community. This experience helped me build confidence in communication and encouraged me to take a more active role in growing the program.

  5. Choosing Nursing

    At age 16, I chose nursing and enrolled in a Practical Nursing dual enrollment program through Orange Technical College. Through school clubs like Interact Club and Nueva Life Club, I continued serving younger students and families in need.

  6. Working with Children

    Worked with children through summer camps and daily activities. These experiences helped me realize that I wanted a career where I could care for others closely and personally.

  7. Growing as a Leader

    Earned the opportunity to become a squad leader in band, taking on greater responsibility for supporting and guiding other members. I also earned my BACE, BLS, and First Aid certifications while preparing for a future in healthcare. Through my volunteer experience with AdventHealth, I observed hospital routines, patient interaction, and the importance of professionalism in clinical settings.

  8. Senior Year

    Clinical Experience

    Will begin clinical rotations through OTC in hospitals and assisted living facilities, gaining hands-on experience caring for patients and supporting healthcare teams.

  9. After Graduation

    Practical Nursing

    After graduation, I will complete my Practical Nursing program and become eligible to take the NCLEX-PN, allowing me to continue building my future in patient care.
